1. Prior to the challenge what were your biggest struggles?

Reversing my previous beliefs as far as how you can change your body while not starving yourself. Every diet program I have been on has been about restriction. They have worked but were not sustainable. This program changed my thought process completely about enjoying food and the choices I make.

2. One Nutrition habit that you stuck with since your challenge ended?

Protein Protein Protein - It's the first thing I think about when it is meal time or when I'm hungry. I used to think calories, and now that is secondary. Even when I don't plan my day, or track my meals, I do a quick check in midday to see where I'm at and make sure I at least hit my protein macros or come close.

3. One Reason to Join the Challenge if someone is on the fence about joining?

Knowledge! Facts are powerful and it amazes me that there was so much I didn't know after so many years of trying different things, reading, listening, etc. as far as nutrition goes as far as sleep, protein, carbs, etc. I feel smarter and better able to make decisions on what I am fueling myself with.

1.Prior to the challenge what were your biggest struggles? Before the challenge I was struggling to keep my diabetes under control. My blood sugar was very high and even though I thought I was eating pretty good my numbers did not show it.

2. One Nutrition habit that you stuck with since your challenge ended?

I learned that I do not have to cut carbs completely to keep my blood sugar under control. In fact it was a balance of carbs protein and fat combined helped me bring down and maintain a healthy blood sugar level.

3. One Reason to Join the Challenge if someone is on the fence about joining?

I have tried every diet I could think of. None of them ever lasted. This last challenge taught me the proper way to eat and balance my meals while upping my protein intake while I was working out. I was also able to lower some of my medications. Trust the process. It works
